7 Ways To Build Relationships During The Holiday Break

That's a wrap. Our Fall Community Group trimester finished up on Saturday, November 19th.

Thanksgiving is Thursday and the holiday season is often a blur.

Our Winter Community Group trimester begins on January 15th.

Over the last 9 weeks you formed new relationships in your group and hopefully experienced the deepening of existing relationships. But how do you keep from losing momentum during the holidays season?

As we mention each time we have a group break, Community Groups don't exist to hold meetings, they exist for people to experience Biblical Community.

We don't have to attend a formal Community Group meeting to connect relationally.

It can be easy to check out during the craziness of the holidays and not reconnect until January.

While I'd encourage groups to take advantage of the group break to ease your crazy schedules, you can also take advantage of it by trying out different ways to connect.

Which one of the ideas below could you try this holidays season?

7 Ways To Build Relationships During The Holiday Break

  • 1-on-1:

Grab coffee or a meal one-on-one with a group member you'd like to get to know better.

  • Party

Have a holiday party with your group (Make cookies, gingerbread houses, play games, or do a white elephant gift exchange).

  • Serve

Find a place to serve our community. Check out Northridge Beyond to connect with one of our local partners.

  • Sit Together

Sit together on Sunday. Text each other ahead of time to plan what service you'll attend.

  • Attend an Equip Book Discussion

Check out one of the 2 upcoming Equip Winter Book Clubs about the Bible, invite a group member to join you, and jump into the discussion together.

  • Guys Night/Girls Night

Grab a bite with just the men or women at a local restaurant.

  • Get Outside

Check out one of these 14 outdoor social opportunities.

The opportunities are endless.

Instead of looking at the trimester break as a break from Community, look at it as an opportunity to strengthen community in a different way.

If you have any questions about groups or anything else at Northridge, please reply to the email or reach out to your coach.

We'd love to support you in anyway that we can.
