Sin

Why Can’t I Stop Doing the Wrong Thing?

This is the last week of our Spring Groups break.

Take some time this week to plan out your final 6 weeks of the spring trimester, reach out to a group member for a one on one connection, or plan some upcoming group socials.

Or just enjoy the Community Group break and get some rest.

The Sin of Comparison

This is the last week of the Spring Community Group Trimester.

As you wrap up the Community Groups year, make sure to discuss the following things with your group:

  • Summer Plans:

    • Put dates on your calendar now, start brainstorming social gathering ideas.

  • Growth Goals:

    • Don’t slide spiritually during the summer, touch base with each other to help each other continue to take steps to grow in your faith.

  • Fall Plans:

    • Adding new people, Inviting Group Members in Group Leadership, Multiplying Your Group, Schedule or format changes.

  • Group Feedback:

    • Email or ask your group to what they liked most about your group and what suggestions they have for next year.

The Sin of Comfort

2 more weeks of group.

  • Summer Plans:

    • Put dates on your calendar now, start brainstorming social gathering ideas.

  • Growth Goals:

    • Don’t slide spiritually during the summer, touch base with each other to help each other continue to take steps to grow in your faith.

The Path To Your Future

4 more weeks until the Summer break.

This is a good time to start thinking about what’s next for your group.

  • Plans for summer socials

  • Future leaders

  • Creating room for new people

  • Starting a new group

Take some time in your meetings over the next few weeks to talk about what’s next for your group.

As you you keep them in the loop and include them in the planning, you’ll create more buy-in and prepare your group for what’s next.

A Risk Worth Taking?

The sermon this week is pointed and personal about our sin and guilt, and our response to our sin.

It would be helpful to consider ahead of time how you will answer the questions so you can model authenticity and openness about your own struggles.

Also, as we near the end of our Winter Trimester (Ending March 27th), it would be good to review your progress on your growth goals.
